“Generational Gardening”

by Morgan Fischer

Morgan Fischer seeks to capture the people and families who garden at Cherry Street Community Garden in this original mural. She has incorporated elements of the Midtown neighborhood and family engagement.

Central to the piece is a blossoming cherry tree to represent Springtime, growth and awakening. Cherry Trees were first planted at the garden in 2015.

Morgan Fischer was a sophomore in Studio Practice at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) when she created this artwork in Spring 2023.
