About our community gardens
We are club-based community gardens, where all gardeners are expected to attend weekly garden club meetings. A $5 annual fee is required to join the garden club and rent a plot. Plant seeds and seedlings are provided.
Last season’s gardeners have first priority, and returning gardeners are guaranteed their beds by signing up before the spring deadline (May 1st). In early May, new gardeners will be assigned garden plots with Housing Authority residents having priority. Any additional plots will then be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Riverview and Convent Hill Community Gardens are primarily dedicated to residents of Riverview and Convent Hill Apartments. The Cherry Street Community Garden is open to residents of Cherry Court Apartments and nearby neighbors.
