BloomMKE supports Little Free Libraries in urban neighborhoods where many children have limited access to books of their own. Through book drives and the purchase of new books, we keep these neighborhood libraries stocked with engaging, age-appropriate reading for children and families.
Unlike most Little Free Libraries, we encourage children and families to keep the books they take. Books can be read again and again, shared with siblings, or passed along to another family—helping build home libraries and foster a lifelong love of reading.
For children who may have few books at home or limited access to a public library, a Little Free Library puts stories, learning, and the joy of reading right in their neighborhood.
